According to the World Health Organization, more than 1 billion people with disabilities live on the globe. This is almost 15% of the world’s population. However, their physical, mental, sensory or intellectual impairment should not cause discrimination or ill-treatment. People with disabilities should enjoy the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.
According to estimates by the United Nations Program on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS), in 2018, about 38 million people worldwide are currently living with HIV. More than half of them are from eastern, southern, central and western countries of Africa. It is generally accepted that conflict, instability, food shortages, poverty are conditions that allow HIV and AIDS to spread much faster. Moreover, namely in such circumstances most refugees in the world are forced to live.
